Darkest crimson, almost black in the glass. The fruit is ripe yet perfumed with blackberry, blueberry and classic Coonawarra mint characters. These are complimented by vanilla and cedar – like oak characters.
Rich blackcurrant, blackberry and dark chocolate flavours combine on a big rich, plump palate. The finish is soft, supple and warming. There is plenty of cassis flavour that lingers on the palate.
Twenty eight months (including malolactic fermentation) in 30% first use French oak hog heads, 70% older French and American barriques and hogsheads. Regular racking from and returning to barrel has resulted in a full rounded structure.
From the Winery
Bos is Latin for Bull and serves as a subtle reminder of the Reschke's cattle grazing heritage that started in Coonawarra in 1906.
'Bos' is the result of carefully selected fruit parcels from our low yielding vineyards. The wine complexity and character is enhanced and developed through maturation in new French oak. It is only then that the true Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon traits shine through with elegance and structure.
