Beautifully crimson in colour, representing the rich dark fruit that was picked for this wine. Balanced on the palate with fine tannins and flavours of black cherries, oriental spice and smoke. Ideal with Mongolian Beef, Rump Steak, Grilled Vegetables or tomato based pastas.
Reviews
92 Points - James Halliday, The Wine Companion "Not sure of the percentage of whole bunches that went into the ferment, perhaps irrelevant if the stalky character is overt. It is right on the edge and there's not quite the fruit weight to carry through. However, it is also perfumed, refreshing, zesty and tangy with mouthwatering acidity. It will appeal to stalk junkies."
From the Winery
Estate grown. Hand picked. Rich, dark fruit was hand picked, foot stomped and 25% whole bunch fermented. Intense palate and structure, lovely balance and stunning length with fine tannins shining through. Vivid notes of black cherry pirouette across a stage of oriental spice, leather and smoke.
