Mount Langi Ghiran Chardonnay 2006 |

Striking pale straw, green hues, the hall mark of Chardonnay with substance.
Aromatics are instantly definable exuding peach and stonefruit characters on the nose with lovely nutty mineral complexity.
As you would expect from a premium producer the wine is structurally textured, with lovely structural skeleton of tight, efficient acidity supported by subtle toast and hints of grilled walnut and hazelnuts, which should develop further in the bottle.
Overall a very satisfying and rewarding Chardonnay that offers excellent value for money at well over $32.00 a bottle let alone this price.
Move into the Spring and summer drinking the perfect accompaniment for all foods with this delicious Chardonnay and you will be very satisfied.
James Halliday - "An elegant, understated wine which certainly doesn't show any sign of warm alcohol; stone fruit and citrus are seamlessly integrated with the barrel ferment oak; long finish. Screwcap.
