The Lodge Hill Riesling is the perfect accompaniment to a cheese platter, pork, seafood and roasted poultry. The mineral and citrus flavours perfectly cut through one another to produce a layered flavour on the palette. Lime citrus and zest draws the taste of the wine out to a wonderfully pleasant crisp finish.
Reviews
2016 Vintage: 94 Points - Campbell Mattinson, Wine Companion "It has a floral prettiness and plenty of limey flavour, and a minerally, sherbet-like sizzle to the finish is the perfect icing to a delicious cake."
Natasha Maclean, Wine Reviews "Laser focused pure fruit zings across the senses and palate with this vibrant Australian Riesling. Come-alive cool-climate Riesling with crisp, silver lines of refreshment from start to finish. Love it! Petrol, lemon blossom, lime zest, mineral depth. Mouth-watering and dry. Supreme! Try it with creamy cheeses. Lots of acidity and minerality in this crisp white wine. Pair with spinach quiche and vegetarian dishes."
From the Winery
This wine shows a brilliant pale colour in the glass. The nose lifts with aromas of lemon tart, ginger and citrus blossom. The palate is tightly wound with intense lime fruit at its core. A wine with great power and drive, the complexity of layers include a talc like minerality and juicy freshly squeezed lime citrus which draws out into a crisp zesty finish.
