From the Winery
A record wet start to Winter and Spring gave soil moisture a good head start to the ripening/growing season. The increased cloud cover kept us below average in the solar radiation stakes, which made for a long ripening period. The Summer was dry and warm keeping disease pressure at bay.
Straw with green hues in appearance, with aromas of passion fruit and green apples. Tropical soft and round with just enough acidity to keep palate fresh and crunchy.
Vineyards are selected with vines that have large canopies to help protect the fruit from the harsh Summer sun. This helps promote those intense aromatics that has made Sauvignon Blanc famous. We also manage to sneak some King and Yarra Valley fruit as well.
