Back for one more run only, this wonderful specimen of Australian Sav Blanc won't be around for long! (I'm serious we only have so much of it before it's gone). A hand crafted wine with boundless appeal from a premium wine growing region is always going to be an easy sell, the Mt Monster is no exception.
The liquid has the faintest green tinge to an otherwise crystal clear liquid. The aromas are of ripe tropicals. Ripe pear with gentle lemongrass effortlessly intertwine. The palate is lively with fresh green pear being the star of the show. Heaps of summer fun. The wine shows off ripe rockmelon with subtle pineapple and a gentle touch of asparagus. Hiding behind these flavours is a quirky dash of green gooseberry that aids to the liveliness of the wine, also gives it a light mineral acidity. The finish has a carefully balance of orange zest, lemon, cantaloupe, asparagus and a hint of lemon tart.
The Limestone Coast is located in the Southeast part of South Australia and has a formidable uniqueness due to the variety of natural features that exist. This area certainly didn't happen overnight, the rich and diverse soils of the area date back thousand to millions of years. Each event, from volcanic eruptions to seismic movement, has played a part in shaping this area.
