What do you get when you cross Geoff Hardy and Ben Riggs? No riddle, just a brilliant shiraz from Australia's hottest wine-making duo!
Ben Riggs reputation as a winemaker has grown exponentially since his days from Wirra Wirra. He has developed and refined a big 'joosy' style & combining skills with the McLaren Vale master ...."The Boys are back In town!"
The warm 2001 summer ensured rich, ripe berry aromas in Shiraz from Langhorne Creek. This wine ladels a big serving of generous flavour that such a year provides, with the impression of ripe raspberries and spicy wild berries on the palate. Judicious wood treatment enhances the flavour to ensure enjoyment and a wonderful wack of tannins mean delightful integration of fruit and aging still to come.I am still loving this wine as an 'open tonight and revisit tomorrow' with a spring in my Autumn step.
