Bright golden in colour, the wine has a rich, lightly honeyed nose with aromas of figs, cashews and ripe melon. The flavour packed palate is rich and creamy with peach and melon characters and a fine acid balance. The finish is long and intense. What an intriguingly complex wine this little number is!

“Medium deep straw colour the nose shows delicious sweet melon, nectarine and figs, buttery toast with a citrus top note. The palate entry is full and crisp, with lovely juicy fruits, the mid palate is creamy and the oak is in perfect balance. Long, long finish completes. Beautifully made and wonderfully drinkable.” Judges’ Tasting Notes. Int. Wine and Spirit Competition 2005.
Medium yellow-green; the clean, moderately intense bouquet has balanced fruit and oak, the light to medium-bodied palate well put together, with gentle white peach, cashew and a dash of oak. Drink With: Grilled spatchcock Rating: 85 (silver medal standard) James Halliday’s Wine Companion 2004
“Rich and ripe in flavor, offering lots of honey, caramel and pineapple on a medium-weight frame, echoing nicely on the lively finish.” 89 points Wine Spectator, May 15, 2003
