A class act. Clean, crackly and creamy, with a fragrant floral perfume of lemongrass and white peach over bakery-like yeasty undertones, it’s long, round and generous but ever so tightly focused. Long, smooth and stylish, with a lingering core of stonefruit and citrus, it becomes nutty and savoury towards its clean finish of refreshing acidity. (Yarra Valley, Strathbogie, King Valley, $38 retail, approx., 18.5/94, drink 2005-2008+) Jeremy Oliver, OnWine
Chandon Blanc de Blancs 2003 ($37) cork: Creamy, honeyed, toasty, lipsmacking, yeasty - ths is a lovely blanc de blancs. Freshy and racy, yet with just enough wood and leesy interest to keep you piling back for more. Gorgeous texture. If I can get a good price on this, I suspect that I be piling into this in the coming months. Drink: 2006-2012. 93 points. Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
