Absolutely sensational! 90% Sauvignon Blanc & 10% Semillon. Let me start there and really get excited!
Sauvignon Blanc fruit (sourced directly next door from material that goes into Shaw & Smith) is awesome in every way. Clear bright and very tempting with a slight hue of pale-gold envy illuminates the bottle. Gently squeeze the top around and wait for the sigh of perfection as the world meets the contents. Aromatics from this vintage are extraordianry and intense. The wonderful expressive qualities of Adelaide Hills Savvy is the extension of flavours you get that extend its reach and mouth feel to include a melange of ripe mangoes, asparagus, good acid structure, confectionary, white chocolate and an array of tropical fruit profiles as well. A lingering lemon acidity that reminds you of pancakes with lemon juice and just the perfect amount of sugar - not sweet, just extraordinary!
A thinking person's Sav Blanc! In all respects, what a boomer to have in the fridge for the next 12 months as it will lead you to cook for it, not just drink it. Sessionable, sensible, loveable and very bright indeed. Enjoy!
