This current release is a light straw colour with some youthful green tinges showing. The nose is lifted with aromas of freshly crushed grapes, musk and melon characters. In the mouth the wine is alive with a vibrant and mouth filling sherbet flavour. A wine of universal appeal, the retained carbon dioxide gives a frizzante effect – the result a lively and fresh wine in the mouth. Serve well chilled and enjoy while young and fresh.

Mouth-watering apricot, pronounced luxurious pineapple aromas, and a luscious full, rich palate, full of apricot and mango flavours which carry through to a long lingering clean finish. Initial sweetness is deliciously balanced by some sharp natural acid. 100% Semillon, I really love this full bodied style that zooms into the table around dessert time and makes you wonder why you have been keeping from the cheese as well. Best with creamy desserts but can also work with cheese and fruit or as an aperitif with paté de foie gras or smoked salmon.

The finest Muscat grape, the Muscat Blanc À Petits Grain is used to create Stella Bella Pink Muscat. In style the Pink Muscat draws upon the diverse Italian Moscato wine styles made of this same variety - sweetly fruity, low alcohol and lightly fizzy. The rosa of the berries is expressed sumptuously in wine colour and bouquet - a blushing pink in colour with a delicate fragrance of rose petals and exotic flavours of turkish delight, rose water and summer berries. 12 bottles to a case.

Give me some nicely aged Blue Cheese at room temperature a warm winter fire the children bouncing outside on the trampoline and a good game of footy. Arghh... and this slips down a treat. Smashing pronounced Botrytis combining deliciously with Riesling fruit and wonderful floral aromas which all combine into a definite contender for dessert wine of my choice.

Dry cold conditions made botrytis the way to go here and by June all was ready to maximise the crop for this style. So I suggest you grab the crossword, light the fire and settle back and relax.YUM!

Heggies Vineyard Botrytis Riesling 2006 is bright gold in colour with light green tinges. A very perfumed botrytis wine, it has aromas of candied lemon peel, quince and dried apricot. The palate has a lightness and delicacy belying its residual sweetness. Lemon rind and orange peel notes with a balanced natural acidity form the perfect foil for the luscious botrytis character. Mild weather in February and March led to quick and even ripening of our Riesling grapes. April proved to be wetter than usual, the cool humid conditions being perfect for botrytis infection. An even cover of botrytis infection was reached by the 11th of May when harvest commenced

Trophy Prestige - Les Citadelles du Vin, France

This dessert wine has a gorgeous array of aromas including wild passion fruit, apricot, lemon and honey. The flavours are intense, yet delicate, with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. Ideal warm, dry autumn conditions enabled the Riesling grapes to be left hanging on the vine until the approach of winter, when they were picked in perfect condition for making a superb late-harvest wine.  Sometimnes you must enjoy the better things in life for all the right reasons.
Only: $23.99 (Incl. GST)
