McPherson 'Reserve' Shiraz 2003

One for the cellar to reward yourself in coming years, or one to impress the hardest dinner guest this weekend. We were only lucky enough to secure a small parcel of this rare treasure, so don't delay, get yours today! Just the thing these school holidays for when the patience is repeatedly tested.

The wine is deep purple-red in colour with a dense, well integrated nose. Layers of aromas reveal juicy plums, rich black olives, yummy chocolate and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is rich and supple with an attractive gamey character and depth of flavour. The tannins are fine grained and support the wine in perfect harmony with the fruit.

GMH Shiraz 2004 Thumb.jpg
Geoff Hardy Vineyard Series - Shiraz 2005

WAS $20.00
Yummy! I was lucky to taste this HUGE wine pre release when in McLaren Vale early this year and ordered all I coud take. This wine ladles a seriously big serving of generous flavour, supple yet grippy tannin that such a fantastic vintage year provides the background for. With the stamp of very impressive ripe rich raspberries and spicy wild berries on the palate. This wine blows away many, many GOLD winning wines in the better trophy competitions every time and an absolute steal at this price! Rate this 91/100

Pertaringa Understudy Cabernet 2003

WAS $29.00

It's back! This is a terrific wine and one which will sell out quicker than you'll enjoy your next public Holiday this year. If I am asked for nearly one wine most often it is this baby
Displaying all the hallmarks that we have come to expect from this "here today - gone tomorrow" regular from our friends at Pertaringa, with a new twist. A dash (only 7%) of Petit Verdot. Madness? No... Brilliance! Produced by Ian Leask and Geoff Hardy, this is McLaren Vale Cabernet at it's finest. This tasty number has a deep, almost crimson purple colour. Aromas of fragrant blackcurrant fruit, mulberry, cedary cinnamon spice, and barrel ferment are eminent on the nose. Mulberry flavours are also present on the palate, with some cassis, blueberry and sweet rhubarb followed by firm but fine grained tannins. What are you waiting for?

Osborns Cabernet Merlot 2004

DON’T PAY $25.00
A huge, meaty 14% ALC/VOL Cabernet Sauvignon and rich opulent Merlot blend from the Mornington Peninsula. I have to say after selling the remaining stocks of chardonnay and Pinot we welcomed this fantastic wine with open arms. The real surprise comes from the huge amount of fruit and length this wine offers, it is truly remarkable. I can become seriously fond of this blend structure if they were all produced so well and I rate it 92/100 Drink by 2014
Price: $9.99 (Incl. GST)
