A huge, meaty 14% ALC/VOL Cabernet Sauvignon and rich opulent Merlot blend from the Mornington Peninsula. I have to say after selling the remaining stocks of chardonnay and Pinot we welcomed this fantastic wine with open arms. The real surprise comes from the huge amount of fruit and length this wine offers, it is truly remarkable. I can become seriously fond of this blend structure if they were all produced so well and I rate it

Eye catching vibrant youthful red hues of good depth catch your attention when you open this little beauty. Greeted with ripe berry fruits with chocolate mint characters typical of Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon and a nice dab of spice from the Shiraz component. Good concentration of ripe sweet berry fruits with impressive mid palate fleshiness due to the influence of Shiraz. Soft round palate profile with ripe tannin at finish. This is definitely a wine to suit nearly everyone, not too complicated but very , very enjoyable for all.

A great big vibrant blood red with purple tint. Enticing aroma of Intensely pungent perfume, with dense blackcurrant, ripe fruit perfumes and savoury herbs. Chocolate, coffee and raspberry with hints of earthy tones and toasted cedary oak underlie the complex aromas. The palate as you would expect is a lovely juicy palate up front with solid tannins kicking in rather early with a firm finish. Intense juicy raspberry and blackberry compete with smoky wood flavours.

Len Evans the Guru! Has produced this export wine to showcase regional quality and style.
Here lies a delightful Bordeaux type blend of mostly Cabernet and some wonderful finely textured tannins. Mature interlayered chocolate, plum and spice and oak all nestle gentley together to ensure a very good length to the palate. All those that tasted this little beauty were agog at how long the wine kept lasting in the mouth and truely a very serious wine. Rate 90/100 Drink 2016 |

This little beauty is the tail end of a small parcel of USA export wines and what a smart, sophisticated number it is. Delicious rounded Cabernet fruit is made smooth and silky with an equal portion of Merlot and beefed up with some decent Shiraz to form an absolutely gorgeous wine that you will drink all weekend. Perfect with food or an indepth chat, this wine combines serious Cabernet & shiraz richness and in my opinion is a bloody great drink all day log!

It's back! This is a terrific wine and one which will sell out quicker than you'll enjoy your next public Holiday this year. If I am asked for nearly one wine most often it is this baby
Displaying all the hallmarks that we have come to expect from this "here today - gone tomorrow" regular from our friends at Pertaringa, with a new twist. A dash (only 7%) of Petit Verdot. Madness? No... Brilliance! Produced by Ian Leask and Geoff Hardy, this is McLaren Vale Cabernet at it's finest. This tasty number has a deep, almost crimson purple colour. Aromas of fragrant blackcurrant fruit, mulberry, cedary cinnamon spice, and barrel ferment are eminent on the nose. Mulberry flavours are also present on the palate, with some cassis, blueberry and sweet rhubarb followed by firm but fine grained tannins. What are you waiting for? |

| Geoff Hardy 'Handcrafted' Cabernet Blend 2004 |
|
| This enigmatic 'Founders Choice' Cabernet blend made me stop in my tracks! I took a deep breath and revisited the glass. The wine floods the mouth with concentrated blackcurrants and forest berries followed by savory elements and hints of mocha, held by a tight tannin tructure with fine grained cedary oak. It was disturbing to realise the depth of this Cabernet whilst still so young and offering so much more for the future. If it had been my son, I would send him straight over for the next MENSA class. This blend for the wine society of Canada is predominately Cabernet from the best vineyards and blended with some tempranillo that combines with sound smooth chocolaty Cabernet for grip, tannin and firm structure to provide an absolute bonza food wine. |

At 15%Alc/Vol this is a sensatinal blend of Premium fruit from Limestone Coast and Adelaide hills. The 2004 vintage which was cool and dry, providing slow ripening over an extended period. This vintage has been hailed by many to be the absolute ripper and with the ensuing lean years ahead a good suggestion is to rip a few of these dozens into your cellar. This is a complex and beautifully crafted wine. Its bouquet is quintessentially Cabernet Sauvignon. Un-mistakably crafted by experts showing varietal cool-climate in character, revealing its intense blackberries and dark plums, dark olives complemented with subtle cedar/vanilla oak with undertones of aromatic herbaceous qualities.
The pallet displays a rich tapestry inn abundance of forest fruits with wonderful hits of sweet cassis. Its tannins are firm and fine-grained which contribute in this wines great balance and elegance. I know you won't be able to help your self but try and put some away as this is seriously great wine and a fraction of the cost. To allow the superb varietal characteristics of this wine to shine
we strongly suggest decanting and/or allowing the wine to breath before serving.

| Coriole Redstone Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 |
|
| 2004 was an exciting vintage at Coriole and the wines have lived up to their early promise. Assistant winemaker Matt Broomhead has been working on the final Redstone blend for several weeks. In Matt’s words “this wine has beautiful texture and is probably one of the most ready to drink Redstone’s that we have produced”. The shiraz component, at 90%, now dominates the Redstone blend. The remainder is still Cabernet, and the style is still “low wood, fruit talking.” Matt goes on, “This includes some of our very best young parcels, from vines punching well above their expected weight.” The 2004s’ are modestly ripe opulent styles that will drink well in their youth or in ten years time. |

Deep red with bright purple tinge
The nose is rich and complex with layers of blackberry fruit, pepper and spice notes, and some mocha coffee elements coming from the oak.
The palate is tight and intensely fruity with bright blackberry, blueberry and blackcurrant flavours running onto a sweet spicy finish. Excellent mid-palate structure, depth and fully ripe tannins define this wine and indicate it will reward short term cellaring

Xanadu Cabernet Sauvignon 2004, RRP$25 – 94 points The Top 500 Wines 2005-2006 by Tyson Stelzer, Wine Press Despite the outstanding quality of the 2004 vintage, Xanadu’s new owners wanted all of the best cabernet to contribute to this wine, with no reserve (Lagan) wine to be produced. The result is an outstanding wine of remarkable value. Crunchy black and red cherry fruit is enveloped in huge seek-and-destroy tannins. It is none-the-less finely structured and very long. Let the cellar do its thing for a decade. 94 out of 100 points. (Excellent wine!) |

DON’T PAY $26.99
Great to see such a balanced, attractive, clean Trinders - it's a label that's had something of a roller-coaster ride over the past six or seven years. This release is a strong one. Dusty, gravelly, herbal and yet ripe, with dry blackcurrant swinging through a fine mesh of tannin. It finishes clean and fruity, and will cellar for at least 10 years - but will be at its best in the medium term. Drink: 2006-2015. 91 points. Campbell Mattinson, The Winefront |

| d'Arenberg Galvo Garage Cabernet Merlot Cab.Franc 2004 |
|
A sensational double Gold winning wine that upon release appears deep dark, garnet appearance suggests a powerful full-bodied wine. An exotic array of classical cabernet blackcurrant cassis, ripe berries, dominate your senses but with poise. Dark chocolate, blackcurrant and prune juice mix of flavours dominates with, mulberries, dark plums, cherries, mocha, lavender, cut flower stems and violets laced with spices. The palate is tightly structured; plenty of depth with a very fine array of chocolaty tannins swirling around. A lovely smidge of fresh mint acidic background gives dryness to the intense black / red fruit finish. As it opens up it looks more Margaux like with its vibrant aromas crossed with Napa tannins and mid palate power and a Bolgheri finish, but its McLaren Vale through and through. |

Triple GOLD & trophy winner!
This wine has a deep, dark, vibrant appearance with an almost plummy-red hue. The nose initially shows an intense mix of coffee, cassis, blackcurrants, blueberries and dried cherry notes. As the wine opens there are complex spiced, tarry, hung meat elements and fine-grained oak characters lifting through. The palate is intense with a mix of dark black fruits, violets, cassis and red currents which linger towards a chocolatey dried herb finish. There is an immense concentration of fruit that hangs off a central backbone that runs down the roof of your mouth which softens the wall of tannins that encapsulate this wine. The purity of fruit is superb. its long, the flavours are dominate red as it fan tails out to the finish leaving a palate texture reminiscing of home-made pastry made with real butter. |
